The Greening Greyfriars project included planting 10 new street trees on New Street, Millstone Lane and Friar Lane, as well as achieving more trees and shrub planting in various new developments within the wider Greyfriars Conservation Area.
A scheme also took place with volunteers to plant wild flowers around the base of some of the New Street trees.
These projects collectively helped to encourage greenery and environmentally friendly habitats in Leicester’s historic old town.
