Grant funded restoration projects
Grant funding was made available to property owners who wished to restore lost architectural features such as windows, or to repair and improve the frontages of buildings. Alongside this work, comprehensive street improvements were carried out by Leicester City Council.
A grants panel made up of local experts and partnerships with representation from Leicester City Council, Leicester Civic Society, De Montfort University, University of Leicester and Leicester Cathedral all contributed to the decision-making process.
